Nuher Latif Khan (40), a former Director of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI), passed away at 2:18 am on January 14, 2025 at the American Hospital in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to cardiac arrest (Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajeeun).
Taskeen Ahmed, President of Dhaka Chamber and members of the board of directors expressed their deepest shock at his sudden death and extended profound compassion to the bereaved family. Nuhur Latif Khan served as the Director of DCCI during the term 2018-2020.
Renowned entrepreneur Nuher Khan was the Managing Director of Joules Power Limited and Technaf Solartech Energy Limited which are engaged in the business of renewable energy sector. He was one of the pioneers in the renewable energy and power sector in the country. He was also an active member of Bangladesh Independent Power Producers’ Association (BIPPA). He was a visionary and dynamic policy advocate and he also made a remarkable contribution for the sustainable energy future of Bangladesh.
His mortal remains will be repatriated from Dubai upon clearance from relevance authorities, after which his Janazah will be held at Baridhara Jame Masjid followed by burial at the Banani military graveyard. The time and date will be informed later by his family upon clearance.
