DCCI deeply mourns death of renowned industrialist Syed Manzur Elahi

Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) President Taskeen Ahmed and members of the Board of Directors expressed their deep condolence at the death of this prominent business leader of the country and extended their profound sympathy to the bereaved family.

Syed Manzur Elahi was the pioneer in exporting Bangladesh's footwear and leather products to different countries, through which the market of our leather products in the world market expanded with a good reputation, and a positive branding in the global market which has later played an immense role in the development and export of our local industry as well. He has been working relentlessly to improve the business friendly environment as well as to create employment opportunities in the country. The business institutions he established also played an important role to the development of our overall economy.

DCCI President Taskeen Ahmed said "the death of noted entrepreneur Syed Manzur Elahi is indeed considered as an irreparable loss to the overall business community”. The business community of Bangladesh will always remember his great contribution to the business sector, economy and socio-economic development of the country, he added.

His Namaj-e-Zanajah will be held at Gulshan Azad Mosque after Zohr prayer on 13 March, 2025, Thursday and later will be buried at the Banani Graveyard.
