A Business delegation of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI), led by its Senior Vice President Mr. Razeev H. Chowdhury, currently visiting China, participated in the 6th Guangzhou Sourcing Fair held on April 16, 2026, Guangzhou, China with the aim of exploring new trade and investment opportunities.
During the B2B matchmaking session organized as part of the fair, members of the Dhaka Chamber delegation had the opportunity to exchange business and investment-related information with around 150 Chinese supplier companies from sectors such as hardware and tools, automobiles, motorcycles and spare parts, home appliances, building and construction materials etc.
Speaking at a bilateral discussion on supply chain issues held on the sidelines of the fair, DCCI’s Senior Vice President Razeev H. Chowdhury stated that Bangladesh and China share a long-standing multidimensional partnership encompassing trade, investment, infrastructure, education, and human resource development. He mentioned that total bilateral trade between Bangladesh and China stood at USD 18.89 billion in FY2025, with Bangladesh’s imports and exports amounting to USD 18.20 billion and USD 694.49 million respectively. He also invited Chinese entrepreneurs to invest in Bangladesh in sectors such as textiles and textile products, machinery, chemicals, metals, plastics, minerals, and Agro-based products.
During the exchange meeting, Ms. Nicole Fan, Director of Poly Jinhan Exhibition (Poly Events), said that the fair would play an important role in building a bridge between entrepreneurs of China and Bangladesh. She expressed hope that more Bangladeshi entrepreneurs would participate in the sourcing fair in the coming years. She also noted that through this fair, Bangladeshi buyers would be able to connect with China’s extensive supplier network and explore new avenues of collaboration.
