DCCI mourns death of Afsarul Arifeen

President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) Ashraf Ahmed and members of the Board of Directors mourned and expressed their deep condolence at the death of Mr. Afsarul Arifeen, Secretary General of Dhaka Chamber, who breathed his last on 6 December, 2024 due to massive heart attack at the Islami Bank Hospital, Kakrail, Dhaka (Inna lillahe wa inna ilaihe rajiun). He was only 56 years old.

Mr. Afsarul Arifeen was the Secretary General of Dhaka Chamber since 2020. Previously, he was working at the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FBCCI) as the Additional Secretary for nearly three decades. He had a vast experience of working especially in trade organizations related matters. He left behind his wife, two sons and a large number of well-wishers.

DCCI President Ashraf Ahmed and members of the board of directors prayed to the Almighty Allah for the salvation of the departed soul and for eternal peace in Jannah. DCCI President also expressed his deep compassion to the members of the grief-stricken family.

The Namaz-e-Janazah of Afsarul Arifeen will be held on 10 December, 2024 Tuesday at 10:30 am at the Mohammedan Sporting Club premises, Motijheel Commercial Area, Dhaka. Later, he will be buried at Jannatul Mawa graveyard, Mirpur 11, Dhaka.
