DCCI Business Institute (DBI) is offering a six-month-long Online Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in ‘Customs, VAT and Income Tax Management’, 18th Batch, jointly with American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), scheduled to be held during April-September 2025. A total of 24 online classes (3 hours duration each) will be held on Friday through Zoom. The course has been offered for the 18th times after commendable success in the last 17th batches.
Course overview in brief: Any business, especially dealing with import or export procedures or even operating general trading, has to face various issues linked with Customs, VAT or income tax related different acts, rules and regulations frequently on a regular basis. And for a professional or an entrusted person of any particular company has to have adequate knowledge and has to be updated about the existing rules and regulations of Customs, VAT and Income Tax Act to operate his/her company’s business activities smoothly. It is more important for an executive of a private sector or even for a government officer to have this knowledge to deal with the matters related to income tax, VAT, audit, management, finance, procurement, market trends, international trade laws, etc.
Objectives: The objective of the course is to familiarize the main features of customs, VAT and income tax in light of the VAT & SD Act 2012, the Customs and Income Tax Act 2023, and the recent changes in the national budget; legal exemptions of taxes; and the use of fiscal incentives in business and other important customs, VAT and income tax-related issues. This programme is designed to provide the participants with enough knowledge on customs, VAT and income tax.
Who Can Attend: Entrepreneurs, Exporters, Importers, Suppliers, Manufacturers, Senior/Mid-level Business Executives of Import, Export and Industrial firms, Accounts/Finance Executives, Manager/Sr. Manager (F&A), Tax and VAT Practitioner/Consultant, VAT and Income Tax Payers and other interested Graduate persons can participate in this course. Candidate(s) must have a Bachelor Degree.
Facilitators: Renowned, highly qualified, reputed, and experienced professionals from the National Board of Revenue and leading professionals, having ample theoretical and practical knowledge from home and abroad about related areas, have been invited to conduct respective sessions.
