Admission in the online PGD in ‘International Trade (Export & Import) Management’, 20th Batch, jointly with AIUB.
DCCI Business Institute (DBI) is offering a six-month-long online Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in “International Trade (Export & Import) Management”, 20th Batch, jointly with American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), scheduled to be held during April-September 2025. A total of 24 online classes (3 hours duration each) will be held on every Friday for through Zoom. The course has been offered for the 20th time after commendable success in the last 19 batches.
Course overview in brief: Understanding international trade, including export and import management, is crucial since it allows an executive professional to know the process of overseeing and coordinating all aspects of selling goods to another country or buying goods from a different country or both, which also involves managing documentation, customs regulations, logistics, incoterms, logistics, shipping, compliance with regulations, payment methods and market research to facilitate successful international trade transactions. It's the practice of managing the entire cycle of moving goods across the borders commercially.
Objectives: International trade is one of the popular ways of self-employment/ entrepreneurship. It is the most dynamic business activities in modern business ecosystem. International trade is divided into two major activities. They are import & export. Major issues in the import and export business are LC opening, bill of entry, bill of leading, insurance, freight forwarding, clearing, transportation, logistics and related domestic & international processing & procedures. Objective of this course is to improve and up-grade the skills of the entrepreneurs/professionals dealing with importing and exporting functions in respective organizations.
Who Can Attend: Entrepreneurs, Exporters, Importers, Suppliers, Manufacturers, Senior/Mid Level Business Executives/Managers of Import, Export and Industrial firms, Managers, In-charges, Executives operating Imports & Exports business/Manufacturing business as well as the new Entrants in such business and other interested graduate persons could participate in this course.

Admission Procedure: The applicant may collect Registration Form from DBI Office and submit the completed form to the same office. Admission would be confirmed to candidates on payment of course fee.

Certification: On successful completion of the PGD, a certificate will be awarded to the participants, signed by the President, DCCI and the Vice Chancellor, AIUB.
