DCCI Business Institute (DBI) is going to organize an In-person two Days-long Workshop on ‘Guide to Export, Import & Indenting Business’, scheduled to be held on 26-27 August 2022 from 10:00 am-5:30 pm at DBI, Dhaka Chamber building (11th floor), 65-66 Motijheel C/A, Dhaka-1000.
Topic Overview in Brief: Thinking of finding new markets for your products or services, exporting is one way to increase sales and grow your business and your company image around the world. While the rewards of exporting can be great, if the goods you need for your business are unavailable in this country or cost less in others, then you may want to import them importing is big business in these days. Export –Import –Indenting business is one of the hot industries of the new millennium. Export –Import business becomes more and more rewarding, both in terms of profit and personal satisfaction.
Objective: The Objective of the training is to improve and up-grade the skill of the people In-charge of Importing, Exporting and Indenting functions in business organizations.
Contents: Export-Import Business model, General steps for import & export procedures; Types of importers; Different types of L/Cs and obligations of different parties involved in L/C; Customs procedures & customs clearance; Export diversification and quality improvement; Export procedures & registration, Checking and advising of export L/C; Preparation of export documents and negotiation of export documents, Export incentives, Disputes and settlement of export claims; Functions of C & F agents; Negotiations for commission and realization thereof; Duties and Taxes for importable products in the light of latest changes in national budget; Indenting Business Model, Indenting business in Bangladesh; Question & Answer session.
Who Can Attend: Directors, Owners, Managers, In-charges, Executives operating Imports & Exports business/Manufacturing, Trading and Indenting business as well as the new Entrants in such business could participate in the training program.
Facilitator: Facilitator of this workshop is Mr. Md. Arif Khan, Chief Consultant and Chief Supply Chain Officer of Sullivan Consulting and Learning Services. He has 30 years of real-life working experience in different International and Local Corporate organization, UN organization and Educational Institutes. His expertise areas are on Supply Chain Management, Import-Export Management, International Trade and Business, Entrepreneurship Development, Business Development, Marketing Management, Regulatory and Corporate Affairs, Training Management, Career Management, Cross Cultural Management.
